“Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly”

Writing bios isn’t on my favorite’s list, but…I’m the counselor that’s going to “hold you down.” I’m supportive as they come, but I won’t hesitate to “call you out,” when needed. I love Jesus and trap music. It’s okay…you can love both too, or neither! We weren’t created to be perfect, we were created to be OUR best selves…whatever that may look like. No matter what you have lost, forgotten, forgone, or been stripped of, it can be reclaimed, revived, preserved, and perpetuated. Let me help you live “your best life!”

Why Counseling?

My entire life, I’ve been the one that family and friends…even strangers felt most comfortable to talk to/through situations with. It has also always brought me so much joy to be able t o help others in whatever capacity I can.
This insight, coupled with my own experiences of not always feeling like it was safe to talk about things I had experienced and was experiencing as a young woman within my household, church, and community, I decided to be the change that I wanted to see in my city. After receiving my Bachelors in Psychology from Spelman College, I returned home and to the “scenic route” to getting my Masters in Counseling. I have a heart for working with young women who have experienced and/or are experiencing trauma, and also the various forms of family units, such as couples, coparents, and blended families. I believe that the stronger the family unit is, the stronger you can be as an individual. Additionally, I am also trained to work with clients who are just experiencing the challenges of life itself and how to best find meaning and purpose in the journey.
